In the hotter summer months only one thing is more refreshing than the beach: the cool, clean freshwater of the rivers.

After all, the beaches are by far not the only attraction Puerto Rico has to offer. One of the reasons why our island is considered paradise on earth are the refreshing and beautiful rivers, which flow from the rain forests into the valleys, forming countless waterfalls and natural pools.

Only a few rivers are frequented by locals and tourists, and there are innumerable locations on the entire island, which are so incredibly beautiful that one actually gets the impression of being in a phantasy movie rather than in a "real" landscape. Here, we would like to introduce some of those locations, which are relatively easy to reach.

En los meses de verano sólo una cosa es más refrescante que nadar en la playa: el agua dulce, fresca y limpia de los ríos.

Después de todo, las playas no son la única atracción que Puerto Rico tiene para ofrecer. Una de las razones por las que nuestra isla es un paraíso en la tierra son los ríos refrescante y hermoso, que se derivan de los bosques de lluvia en los valles, formando innumerables cascadas y piscinas naturales.

Sólo unos pocos ríos son frecuentados por locales y turistas, y hay innumerables lugares en toda la isla, que son tan increíblemente hermosos que uno realmente tiene la impresión de estar en una película de fantasía y no en un "verdadero" paisaje. Aquí, nos gustaría presentarles algunos de esos lugares, que son relativamente fáciles de llegar.
