This gorgeous natural beach has an effect that you can’t put into words - you just have to experience it yourself. Feel the very fine and almost white sand under your feet as you take a walk along the seashore which extends over a length of almost a mile, bathe in the warm crystal clear water or simply submerge into another world and watch the countless colorful fish darting between the corals.

Playa Flamenco is one of the must-see places, especially when you live in Puerto Rico, from where Culebra is very easily and cheaply accessible. One option would be catching the ferry from Fajardo to Culebra, which takes an hour and costs less than $5 for two people. Another possibility are the flights offered daily from San Juan’s Isla Grande Airport (SIG) or from Fajardo. On the island itself you can rent a jeep or simply take the shuttle bus, which runs between the town and Playa Flamenco and cost less than 3 dollars. In addition, there are many private taxis that will take you any place you like, like for example to Playa Zoni.

Directly behind the beach there is big camping ground. Here you can also find showers and restrooms everywhere ont he camping area. This camp site is the only place on Culebra where camping is permitted. The price per night is $20.

Bienvenidos a la playa más impresionante de Puerto Rico y una de las playas más hermosas de nuestro planeta. Flamenco usualmente esta nominada como una de las mejores playas del mundo.

Esta preciosa playa natural tiene un efecto que no puedes describir en palabras - solo lo puedes experimentar por ti mismo. Siente la fina y casi blanca arena bajo tus pies mientras caminas por la orilla que se extiende casi a una milla, báñate en las cálidas aguas cristalinas o simplemente sumérgete a otro mundo y observa coloridos peces deslizándose entre los corales.

La playa de flamenco es uno de los lugares mas vistos, especialmente si eres de Puerto Rico, donde Culebra es de fácil acceso y económico. Una opción puede ser coger el ferry desde Fajardo hasta Culebra, el cual toma una hora y cuesta menos de $5 por dos personas. Otra posibilidad son los vuelos ofrecidos diariamente por San Juan’s Isla Grande Airport (SIG) o desde Fajardo. En la isla puedes alquilar un jeep o simplemente puedes coger un autobús, cual recorre entre el pueblo y Flamenco por un costo menos de $3. En adición, ahí varios taxis privados que están dispuestos a llevarte a cualquier lugar que desees, como por ejemplo la Playa Zoni.

Justamente detrás de la playa hay una área grande para acampar. Aquí también puedes encontrar duchas y baños en el área de acampar. Esta área de acampar solo se encuentra en Culebra donde acampar es permitido. El costo es $20 por noche.
